CompilationRelaxations Enumeration

May 02, 2013

This API supports the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Specifies parameters that control the strictness of the code generated by the common language runtime's just-in-time (JIT) compiler.

This enumeration has a FlagsAttribute attribute that allows a bitwise combination of its member values.

Namespace:  System.Runtime.CompilerServices
Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)
[FlagsAttribute]
public enum CompilationRelaxations
Member nameDescription
NoStringInterningMarks an assembly as not requiring string-literal interning.

In an application domain, the common language runtime creates one string object for each unique string literal, rather than making multiple copies. This behavior, called string interning, internally requires building auxiliary tables that consume memory resources.
