How to: Specify a Base Address for a DLL 

The DLL base-address project property is used to specify a default base address when creating a DLL. The DLL base-address property can be set in the Advanced Compiler Settings dialog box, accessible from the Compile page of the Project Designer.

To specify a base address for a DLL

  1. With a project selected in Solution Explorer, on the Project menu, click Properties.

  2. Click the Compile tab.

  3. Click the Advanced Compile Options button to open the Advanced Compiler Settings dialog box.

  4. In the DLL base address field, enter the hexadecimal number to use as a base address, and then click OK.
