Migrate Options Dialog Box

Visual Studio .NET 2003

This dialog box appears the first time you launch a newly installed version of Visual Studio .NET. Select Yes to copy certain Option values from your previous version of the program into the current version.

Yes
Copies Option values from your previous version of Visual Studio .NET into the current version.
No
Does not change any Option values. The values in the current version of Visual Studio .NET are retained.

If you choose No and then decide later that you want to copy Option values from your previous version, you can access the Migrate Options dialog box again. Select Run from the Start menu, and launch the integrated development environment (IDE) using the following command:

devenv /migratesettings

After you copy Option values from a previous version of Visual Studio .NET, select Options from the Tools menu and review your current settings.

Note   In cases where the default value for an Option has changed, or where one Option enables or disables another, your previous setting or the previous default value will typically override the Option's current default value.
