XmlTextReader.CanReadValueChunk Property

Note: This property is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Gets a value indicating whether the XmlTextReader implements the ReadValueChunk method.

Namespace: System.Xml
Assembly: System.Xml (in system.xml.dll)

public override bool CanReadValueChunk { get; }
/** @property */
public boolean get_CanReadValueChunk ()

public override function get CanReadValueChunk () : boolean

Property Value

true if the XmlTextReader implements the ReadValueChunk method; otherwise false. The XmlTextReader class always returns false.
NoteNote

In the Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 release, the recommended practice is to create XmlReader instances using the System.Xml.XmlReader.Create method. This allows you to take full advantage of the new features introduced in this release. For more information, see Creating XML Readers.

The XmlTextReader throws a NotSupportedException if the ReadValueChunk method is called.
