ToolStripItem.OnParentEnabledChanged Method

Note: This method is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Raises the EnabledChanged event when the Enabled property value of the item's container changes.

Namespace: System.Windows.Forms
Assembly: System.Windows.Forms (in system.windows.forms.dll)

protected internal virtual void OnParentEnabledChanged (
	EventArgs e
)
protected void OnParentEnabledChanged (
	EventArgs e
)
protected internal function OnParentEnabledChanged (
	e : EventArgs
)

Parameters

e

An EventArgs that contains the event data.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnParentEnabledChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors When overriding OnParentEnabledChanged in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnParentEnabledChanged method so that registered delegates receive the event.
