Repeater.FooterTemplate Property

Gets or sets the System.Web.UI.ITemplate that defines how the footer section of the Repeater control is displayed.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

[TemplateContainerAttribute(typeof(RepeaterItem))]
public virtual ITemplate FooterTemplate { get; set; }
/** @property */
public ITemplate get_FooterTemplate ()

/** @property */
public void set_FooterTemplate (ITemplate value)

public function get FooterTemplate () : ITemplate

public function set FooterTemplate (value : ITemplate)

Property Value

A System.Web.UI.ITemplate that defines how the footer section of the Repeater control is displayed. The default value is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).

Use this property to create a template that controls how the footer section of a Repeater control is displayed.

Caution noteCaution

This control can be used to display user input, which might include malicious client script. Check any information that is sent from a client for executable script, SQL statements, or other code before displaying it in your application. ASP.NET provides an input request validation feature to block script and HTML in user input. Validation server controls are also provided to assess user input. For more information, see Validation Server Control Syntax.

The following example demonstrates how to use the FooterTemplate to control the appearance of the footer for the Repeater control. Notice that the FooterTemplate contains the table's end tag (</table>).

<%@ Page Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="True" %>
<html>
 <head>
    <script language="C#" runat="server">
       void Page_Load(Object Sender, EventArgs e) {

          if (!IsPostBack) {
             ArrayList values = new ArrayList();

             values.Add("Apple");
             values.Add("Orange");
             values.Add("Pear");
             values.Add("Banana");
             values.Add("Grape");

             Repeater1.DataSource = values;
             Repeater1.DataBind();
          }
       }
    </script>

 </head>
