ObjectDataSourceView.ObjectDisposing Event

Note: This event is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Occurs when the ObjectDataSourceView object discards an instance of an object that it has created.

Namespace: System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly: System.Web (in system.web.dll)

public event ObjectDataSourceDisposingEventHandler ObjectDisposing
/** @event */
public void add_ObjectDisposing (ObjectDataSourceDisposingEventHandler value)

/** @event */
public void remove_ObjectDisposing (ObjectDataSourceDisposingEventHandler value)

JScript supports the use of events, but not the declaration of new ones.

The ObjectDisposing event is raised before the instance of the business object is discarded. If the business object implements the IDisposable interface, the Dispose method is called after The ObjectDisposing event is raised.

Handle the ObjectDisposing event to call other methods on the object and set properties or to perform clean-up that is specific to the object before the object is destroyed. A reference to the object is accessed by the ObjectInstance property, which is exposed by the ObjectDataSourceEventArgs object.

If the method that is identified to perform the data operation is static (Shared in Visual Basic), the ObjectDisposing event is never raised.
