Rijndael Constructor

Initializes a new instance of Rijndael.

Namespace: System.Security.Cryptography
Assembly: mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

protected Rijndael ()
protected Rijndael ()
protected function Rijndael ()

You cannot create an instance of an abstract class. Application code will create a new instance of a derived class.

This method initializes the protected fields of SymmetricAlgorithm to the default values listed in the following table.

Field

Default Value

KeySizeValue

256

BlockSizeValue

128

FeedbackSizeValue

128

The following code example uses the Rijndael class to encrypt and then decrypt data.

using System.Security.Cryptography;
using System.Text;
using System.IO;
