Assembly: mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)
The following table lists the instruction's hexadecimal and Microsoft Intermediate Language (MSIL) assembly format, along with a brief reference summary:
Computes the bitwise complement of a value.
The stack transitional behavior, in sequential order, is:
value is pushed onto the stack.
value is popped from the stack and its bitwise complement computed.
The result is pushed onto the stack.
The not instruction computes the bitwise complement of an integer value and pushes the result onto the stack. The return type is the same as the operand type.
The following Emit method overload can use the not opcode:
Windows 98, Windows 2000 SP4, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP SP2, Windows XP Starter Edition
The .NET Framework does not support all versions of every platform. For a list of the supported versions, see System Requirements.
