BinaryReader.ReadUInt64 Method

Reads an 8-byte unsigned integer from the current stream and advances the position of the stream by eight bytes.

This API is not CLS-compliant.

Return Value

Type: System.UInt64
An 8-byte unsigned integer read from this stream.
ExceptionCondition
EndOfStreamException

The end of the stream is reached.

IOException

An I/O error occurs.

ObjectDisposedException

The stream is closed.

BinaryReader does not restore the file position after an unsuccessful read.

BinaryReader reads this data type in little-endian format.
