Decimal.System.IConvertible.ToByte Method

This method supports the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Converts a Decimal to an 8-bit unsigned integer.

Parameters

provider

Return Value

An 8-bit unsigned integer equivalent to the value of this instance of Decimal.
Exception typeCondition

OverflowException

The resulting integer value is less than Byte.MinValue or greater than Byte.MaxValue.

The Decimal value is rounded toward zero to the nearest integer value, and the result of this operation is returned as a byte.
