System.Data.OleDb Namespace

The System.Data.OleDb namespace is the.NET Framework Data Provider for OLE DB.

The.NET Framework Data Provider for OLE DB describes a collection of classes used to access an OLE DB data source in the managed space. Using the OleDbDataAdapter, you can fill a memory-resident DataSet that you can use to query and update the data source.

  Class Description
Public class OleDbCommand Represents an SQL statement or stored procedure to execute against a data source.
Public class OleDbCommandBuilder Automatically generates single-table commands that are used to reconcile changes made to a DataSet with the associated database. This class cannot be inherited.
Public class OleDbConnection Represents an open connection to a data source.
Public class OleDbConnectionStringBuilder Provides a simple way to create and manage the contents of connection strings used by the OleDbConnection class.
Public class OleDbDataAdapter Represents a set of data commands and a database connection that are used to fill the DataSet and update the data source.
Public class OleDbDataReader Provides a way of reading a forward-only stream of data rows from a data source. This class cannot be inherited.
Public class OleDbEnumerator Provides a mechanism for enumerating all available OLE DB providers within the local network.
Public class OleDbError Collects information relevant to a warning or error returned by the data source.
Public class OleDbErrorCollection Collects all errors generated by the .NET Framework Data Provider for OLE DB. This class cannot be inherited.
Public class OleDbException The exception that is thrown when the underlying provider returns a warning or error for an OLE DB data source. This class cannot be inherited.
