SectionInformation.ProtectionProvider Property

Note: This property is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Gets the protected configuration provider for the associated configuration section.

Namespace: System.Configuration
Assembly: System.Configuration (in system.configuration.dll)

public ProtectedConfigurationProvider ProtectionProvider { get;

public ProtectedConfigurationProvider get_ProtectionProvider ()

Property Value

The ProtectedConfigurationProvider for this ConfigurationSection object.

The ProtectionProvider property is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) for unprotected sections.

The following example shows how to get the ProtectSection value of a ConfigurationSection object.
