SectionInformation.IsDeclarationRequired Property

Note: This property is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

Gets a value indicating whether the associated configuration section must be declared in the configuration file.

Namespace: System.Configuration
Assembly: System.Configuration (in system.configuration.dll)

public bool IsDeclarationRequired { get; 
/** @property */
public boolean get_IsDeclarationRequired ()

public function get IsDeclarationRequired () : boolean

Property Value

true if the associated ConfigurationSection object must be declared in the configuration file; otherwise, false.

The following code examples show how to get the IsDeclarationRequired property value after accessing the related section information in the configuration file.

Get the SectionInformation.

// Get the current configuration file.
System.Configuration.Configuration config =
        ConfigurationManager.OpenExeConfiguration(
        ConfigurationUserLevel.None);

// Get the section.
UrlsSection section =
    (UrlsSection)config.GetSection("MyUrls");


SectionInformation sInfo =
    section.SectionInformation;

Get the IsDeclarationRequired value.
