ProtectedConfiguration.DataProtectionProviderName Field

Note: This field is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

The name of the data protection provider.

This a constant string variable containing the name of the Data Protection provider made available by the system to protect a configuration section.

The following example shows how to use DataProtectionProviderName.

// Get the current provider name.
string dataProtectionProviderName =
   ProtectedConfiguration.DataProtectionProviderName;
Console.WriteLine(
    "Data protection provider name: {0",
     dataProtectionProviderName);
