Enabling Additional Functionality through the Command Line

Enabling Additional Functionality through the Command Line

You can enable additional functionality through the command line. For example:

  • Networking functionality can be turned on by running factory.exe on the command line. Type the following on the command line:
    factory.exe -winpe
  • If networking functionality is turned on, then net.exe can be used from the command line. For more information about using net.exe, type:

    net.exe /?

  • Additional disk configuration functionality can be obtained using diskpart.exe on the command line. For more information about diskpart, go to:

    http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/diskpart.mspx

Note: if you create a partition on the system drive (disk 0) and set it to active, you will not be able to install WEPOS on that partition until you reboot. You will receive this error: "The active partition on disk0 has no drive letter," even if you assign a letter to this partition in diskpart.exe and format the partition.
