Debugging a Target Designer Extension

Target Designer uses a Target Designer extension (.tdx) file to display the Properties dialog box for a component. A .tdx file is imported as part of the component definition file.

Before debugging a Target Designer Extension, you must copy files from the Windows NT Embedded 4.0 CD2 into the Windows NT Embedded installation directory as shown in the following table:

\bin\support\debug\i386\symbols\exeTDesign.dbg
\bin\support\debug\i386\symbols\dllAll symbol files (TD*.dbg)

You are now ready to build a Visual Studio project using the default debug build setting.

Note   The installation directory is the directory on your development system in which you installed Windows NT Embedded. The default directory is \\Program Files\\Windows NT Embedded 4.0.
