How to: Start SQL Server Agent (SQL Server Management Studio)

SQL Server 2005

You can start SQL Server Agent from SQL Server Management Studio.

  1. In Object Explorer, expand the server instance you want to manage.

  2. Right-click SQL Server Agent, and then click Start.

    A green arrow on the icon next to SQL Server Agent indicates that SQL Server Agent started successfully.
