Setting Up the Controller and Agent Functionality

You set up your controller and agents by using the installation file located on the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team Test Load Agent installation disk. The file is named setup.exe and is located at the root of the CD.

NoteNote

The controller and agent functionality is available only in the Visual Studio 2005 Team Test Load Agent product, not Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite. For more information about the different Team System products, see Visual Studio Team System Test Load Agent (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=64719) and Visual Studio Team System Product Information (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=64718).

Some important notes about installation are as follows:

  • You must be a member of the local Administrators group to perform the installation.
