Cannot select database objects with Unicode object names

You cannot select database objects with Unicode object names (non-ANSI file names) that cannot be translated in your workstation's system locale. Unicode object names can create unusable file names in the command file and the command file will not run correctly. You can either create the command file and fix the names, or cancel the operation and select other database objects.

  1. Click Yes to proceed with creating a command file.

If you create the command file, you must correct the unusable file names. These unusable file names are identified in the command file with "??????" for the file names. You might be able to determine what the actual name should be by looking at the file name extension to help identify the originating database object.

  1. Click Cancel to avoid creating a command file.

The Create Command File dialog box re-appears and you can make another selection of database objects.
