Removes an instance of a profile provider from the user profile provider collection.

This element is new in the .NET Framework version 2.0.

name

Required String attribute.

The name of the profile provider object to remove from the collection.

profile

Configures the user profile for an application.

providers

Defines a collection of profile providers for the user profile.

Example

The following code example shows how to configure an ASP.NET application to use the SqlProfileProvider provider to store and retrieve profile information. The <remove> element removes the instance of the default SQL Server profile provider before adding the new SqlProfileProvider.
