Cannot change the default database reference while designers are open.

SQL Server 2005

You cannot change the default database reference while using the designers to create or modify a query, view, inline function, or stored procedure. This warning occurs in two circumstances:

  • You are changing the default database reference for a folder while some of the folder's documents are still open in the Query and View Designer.
  • You are changing the default database reference for the entire project while some of the project's documents are still open in Query and View Designer.

  1. Close the designers and then change the default database reference.
