PrincipalType Enumeration

The PrincipalType enumeration contains values that specify the type of user, role, or login.

Member nameDescription
ApplicationRoleValue = 4. An application role.
DatabaseRoleValue = 3. A database role (fixed or user-defined).
LoginValue = 0. A Microsoft SQL Server login.
ServerRoleValue = 1. A fixed server role.
UserValue = 2. A database user.

The PrincipalType enumeration class is served by the GranteeType and GrantorType properties.

This namespace, class, or member is supported only in version 2.0 of the Microsoft .NET Framework.
