Merge (Command Line)
Combines the contents of two file copies that have the same name but are part of different projects. For definitions of the command options, seein this Help system.
Visual SourceSafe does not support merging for binary files.
Use the -GF form of the -G option to force the use of working folders for the merge operation. See.
Best practices for use of the Merge command are:
Each time you do a merge, put a label on the destination project.
For the next merge, specify this label in the -B and -L options, for example, -BLMyLabel.
Merges the file Test.c in $/WORD with Test.c in the current project:
ss Merge $/WORD/TEST.C
