Creating a Custom Shortcut in Target Designer

You can create a custom shortcut in Target Designer by adding an extra resource to your configuration.

To create a custom shortcut in Target Designer

  1. In Target Designer, open your configuration.

  2. In the View menu, verify that Resources is selected.

  3. Expand your .slx configuration node.

  4. Right-click Extra Resources and choose Add, and then Shortcut. The Add Component Resources window appears.

  5. Type a name for the shortcut.

  6. In the Extended properties section, type the values for the following properties: DstName, DstPath, TargetPath, Overwrite, WindowStyle.

  7. To add the shortcut to the component Choose Add. To close the Add Component Resource window, choose Cancel.

  8. Save the component and import it to the database.
