Application Compatibility Core
The Application Compatibility Core component provides the functionality to identify specific applications and insert any of several hundred compatibility fixes. These compatibility fixes provide the emulation and legacy behavior required by many older applications for them to operate correctly on Windows XP. This component also provides the functionality to extend the architecture of an application and install custom application fixes.
