How to: Export Application Objects

1. Open the Application Object Tree (AOT) and choose the objects you want to export.

2. Click Microsoft Dynamics AX menu > Command > Export.

3. In the Export dialog box, choose the application object layer check box if you want to export from a different layer than the current one.

   Selecting the layer check box enables the list with all layers.

   Tip
   You can always see the current layer in the status bar. If you want to export an entire application layer, make sure that the current node is the AOT root node, and then select the relevant layer.

4. Click Browse to find a location and a name for the export file. The file name list holds the five most recently used .xpo file names. The extension for an export file is .xpo.

5. Click Export to perform the export with the selected options.
