Property Property (Folders)

Specifies a named property that can be accessed at installation time to override the path of a custom folder, allowing a user to rename the folder during installation. If this property is blank, the name of the folder cannot be changed at installation.

An example Property property setting is TARGETDIR. Typically, the value of TARGETDIR is set through a user interface dialog box such as the Select Installation Folder dialog box, by means of the command line, or in a Launch Condition.

For special folders, this property is read-only.

The Property property can be either a predefined Windows Installer property or a custom property. Windows Installer property names are case-sensitive; custom property names must be uppercase.
