SecurityTokenProvider.BeginRenewTokenCore Method

Definition

Begins an asynchronous operation that renews a security token.

protected:
 virtual IAsyncResult ^ BeginRenewTokenCore(TimeSpan timeout, System::IdentityModel::Tokens::SecurityToken ^ tokenToBeRenewed, AsyncCallback ^ callback, System::Object ^ state);
protected virtual IAsyncResult BeginRenewTokenCore (TimeSpan timeout, System.IdentityModel.Tokens.SecurityToken tokenToBeRenewed, AsyncCallback callback, object state);
abstract member BeginRenewTokenCore : TimeSpan * System.IdentityModel.Tokens.SecurityToken * AsyncCallback * obj -> IAsyncResult
override this.BeginRenewTokenCore : TimeSpan * System.IdentityModel.Tokens.SecurityToken * AsyncCallback * obj -> IAsyncResult
Protected Overridable Function BeginRenewTokenCore (timeout As TimeSpan, tokenToBeRenewed As SecurityToken, callback As AsyncCallback, state As Object) As IAsyncResult

Parameters

timeout
TimeSpan

A TimeSpan that specifies the timeout value for the message that renews the security token.

tokenToBeRenewed
SecurityToken

The SecurityToken to renew.

callback
AsyncCallback

The AsyncCallback delegate that receives notification of the completion of the asynchronous close operation.

state
Object

An object, specified by the application, that contains state information associated with the asynchronous close operation.

Returns

The IAsyncResult that references the asynchronous operation.

Remarks

When you inherit from the SecurityTokenProvider class you are not required to override the asynchronous methods, as the SecurityTokenProvider base class provides asynchronous support based upon the synchronous methods. Therefore, you are not required to override the BeginRenewTokenCore method, unless you must provide your own asynchronous implementation.

The BeginRenewToken method calls the BeginRenewTokenCore method.
