Export Virtual Network Settings to a Network Configuration File
Updated: November 12, 2013
You can export your virtual network settings to a network configuration file (.xml). You can then use this file as a template to create additional virtual networks, or to recreate your virtual network if you delete it. For information about configuring a virtual network by using a network configuration file, see Configure a Virtual Network Using Network Configuration Files. For information about network configuration file settings, see Windows Azure Virtual Network Configuration Schema.
To export virtual network settings, perform the following steps:
In the Management Portal, on the networks page, locate the virtual networks for which you want to export the settings. Click VIRTUAL NETWORKS in order to view the virtual networks associated with your subscription.
At the bottom of the page, click EXPORT.
On the Export network configuration page, verify that you have selected the subscription for which you want to export the virtual network settings. Then, click the checkmark on the lower right.
When you are prompted, save the NetworkConfig.xml file.
