TextBox.Wrap Property

Gets or sets a value indicating whether the text content wraps within a multiline text box.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
public virtual bool Wrap { get; set; }
<asp:TextBox Wrap="True|False" />

Property Value

Type: System.Boolean
true if the text content wraps within a multiline text box; otherwise, false. The default is true.

Use the Wrap property to specify whether the text displayed in a multiline TextBox control automatically continues on the next line when the text reaches the end of the control.

NoteNote

This property is applicable only when the TextMode property is set to TextBoxMode.MultiLine.

The following code example demonstrates how to use the Wrap property to wrap text entered in the TextBox control.

Security noteSecurity Note

This example has a text box that accepts user input, which is a potential security threat. By default, ASP.NET Web pages validate that user input does not include script or HTML elements. For more information, see Script Exploits Overview.
