GridView.OnRowUpdated Method

Raises the RowUpdated event.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
abstract OnRowUpdated :
        e:GridViewUpdatedEventArgs -> unit
override OnRowUpdated :
        e:GridViewUpdatedEventArgs -> unit

The RowUpdated event is raised when a row's Update button is clicked, but after the GridView control updates the row. This enables you to provide an event-handling method that performs a custom routine, such as checking the results of the update operation, whenever this event occurs.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnRowUpdated method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnRowUpdated in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnRowUpdated method so that registered delegates receive the event.
