DataSourceView.OnDataSourceViewChanged Method

Raises the DataSourceViewChanged event.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)
protected virtual void OnDataSourceViewChanged(
	EventArgs e
)

Parameters

e
Type: System.EventArgs

An EventArgs that contains event data.

The OnDataSourceViewChanged method notifies a data-bound control that the underlying data source has changed and that the control should rebind and perform any necessary work. Typically, the OnDataSourceViewChanged method is called when a property of the data source view has changed.

Raising an event invokes the event handler through a delegate. For more information, see Raising an Event.

The OnDataSourceViewChanged method also allows derived classes to handle the event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

When overriding OnDataSourceViewChanged in a derived class, be sure to call the base class's OnDataSourceViewChanged method so that registered delegates receive the event.
